Unhappy Retro fit v6 cruise control frustration

Dear All
I've just fitted cruises control on my 190+ v6. The master switch lights up but the cruise will not engage when the steering wheel controls are used. I have changed the brake pedal switch for a new one from Rimmer Bros and have a clutch pedal switch. All of the wiring was already in place. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you fit the vacuum pump, and the throttle body actuator Marcus, just you don't mention them?

If you don't get it sorted easily, you can pop over when the restrictions are lifted and ill have a look for you.

Try lifting the brake & clutch pedals in turn with your foot when engaging the cruise control system-simple things first!

I should point out that the indicator on the dashboard does not turn on, only the one on the green activation button. Thank you for your answers.

Check the pedal switch has been swapped for the correct type, there are two versions.

Mine's been temperamental for a few years now. Works sometimes and not others. When working, it will suddenly go off for no reason, rain or shine. The green main switch light always stays on but the motorway icon on the dash goes out. It's a KV6 auto with only one switch on the brake pedal that seems OK. Would be good to get it working more reliably.

Hello and thank you for your answer. Do you have the part number? we find several models on the internet. Thank you very much.
