The following was sent to the original notification post, by RogerHeinz57.

Clearly it's appropriate to re-produce it here :-

Visited this show twice years ago. The initial plan was to attend Crowborough carnival the day before, take a B&B and then take the country route home via Edenbridge, Ide Hill and then on to Sevenoaks towards the M25 for a cruise home. The show was discovered by pure accident as we wafted past it with suprise at the size of the gathering and the classics on show. Turned round and went in as visitors. Superb show with beautiful exhibits. The first show we attended was start to finish brilliant, however the following year had several restrictions following the air crash at Shoreham airshow. This was a tragic incident and had quite an effect on any public event in terms of safety of crowds in all types of event. The second visit to the Edenbridge Motor Show my car was a single entry exhibit, and had a good level of attention.
The show was a great experience, no chavs or hooligans to witness. All levels of decent machinery from personal transport were featured alongside some military vehicles. Well worth a trip to this one from my experience.

Regards, and thanks to Roger.

Mike

I have already booked myself in, mostly, because i can't see us having enough cars to be able to do a group booking,
the only query i have is the the receipt i got from when i paid, was just a big tick in a box, nothing else, is this correct, or should i email them, incase there are other things needed such as car registration, etc, or is there going to be a chance to enter details later?

Martin,

When I looked at their website I noticed that they didn't want any car details at all, on their booking page.

I will contact them for clarification.

Regards

Mike

Both a bump and an update for this show at EDENBRIDGE, on the Kent / Surrey border.

I had a reply last night from the organisers, re my post 5. (I left contacting them myself until late July)

No they don't require any car details, but will consider it for next year, in order to put it into their programme. I have to say that I'm surprised by this, as it's almost the norm for shows. I wonder if they used to do it, and then dropped it at some time.

With respect to parking as a group, it is only for club entries with a minimum of 10 cars, as per their web site.
Obviously if we meet up before hand, and arrive in convoy, then we should be together, and they have agreed this in their reply.

I am going to request whether they will allocate us a club booking, if I offer to make up the difference financially.

We currently have 4 cars registered to book in; if we can grow this to 6, then that is only £20.00, which I'm more than happy with.

In the meantime, I do know where there is (or used to be) a nice long lay by, just over a mile away. By using mobile phones, an arrival in convoy is quite possible.

Sorry it's a bit long winded, but by all accounts this is a show to go to.

I will shortly post (separately) about South East meets in general, as I still believe that new members to the club, of which there is a steady stream, will grow the small band that we currently have.

Regards

Mike

I am intrigued to know where the lay-by is to which you refer. I will probably know whether it is still there or not.
