It's on the KV6 near the oil filter.

Looks like that hose is rubbing on it: not good, looks like it's already wearing through if it hasn't already, the rust on it might indicate that it already has, not sure what that hose is, but I guess its a coolant hose (top of head to expansion tank?).

No, it's black paint. I put it there just to test it on a rusty surface.

It's paint. The marks on the hose are from something else - it's the PAS banjo hose - I just hooked it round there because it kept poking me in the eye.
