At the time, I PMd him and he PMd back to say what was wrong with it. I then PMd back to offer to buy it but didn’t hear back. I think it also may be scrapped...

What a shame if it were lost.

I would have loved to get a chance at one back in the day but I’m committed now to my current project.

It’s a shame that some perfectly good and repairable cars just get scrapped.

My friends brother in law scrapped his 75 because he was told the turbo had gone, ( excessive smoke through exhaust on a diesel). I bet it was only the breather / filter that was required.
That was a few years ago and I only heard of it afterwards or I could have helped the guy out.
