It's hammering down here, I've had to come in out of the conservatory as the hailstones & rain is deafening.

Nope.......customer turned up.

He was booked in for me to fit a reversing camera and tv aerial for his tourer.

First, when he arrived, the camera he had been sent was for a saloon so that was a problem.
Then as we were discussing it he said his WinCe unit was coming out for the new Android unit he had ordered to go in

My emails between the customer and myself were that he was fitting the Android unit and I was fitting just the camera and aerial.
He never mentioned that he was going to fit the Android unit here or that I was bringing it with me.

He said he has bought and paid for it from Sean and I've just gone back through all my orders from Sean and have nothing.......So somewhere along the lines there has been a big boo boo!

Customer gone home to Kent not very happy and me completely confused as neither Sean or the customer mentioned to me anything about a head unit

Customer will no doubt be letting it known of his dissatisfaction and I can't blame him if it turns out that we should have supplied a radio!!

Having said that.........nobody told me, either Sean or the customer

Customer.

Hi Jeff

Sean gave me your details, I just purchased a nav unit for my 75.

I can do a basic install but need the nav antenna fitted properly plus the digital tv interface and antenna – also have a reverse camera needs fitting too – it’s a tourer model.

Please could you advise when you are free and costs,

Thanks

Hi *******

What is presently installed in your Tourer?

This will help me determine the fitting cost.

Cheers,

Jeff.

Hi Jeff

A wince unit at present. I can do the head unit no problem just never done the rear camera or antennas before.

Reply.

The gps antenna fitted to your WinCe will be fine to use for the Android.
TV aerials (presuming you don't have TV in your WinCe) and reversing camera I presume is the only thing needed then ?

Cust.

Hiya

The navigation antenna was never fitted properly. Just hanging in passenger footwear!

Hi ******

To fit your tourer reversing camera, digital tv and internal aerial and to re site your gps antenna would be £60.00 including vat.

The only date I have left in April is Wednesday 19th but I already have a customer provisionally booked for that date.
I’m just waiting on confirmation from him today.

If not I have Wednesday the 3rd of May available and if a Sunday is preferable then Sunday the 14th of May is available.

Let me know as soon as you can and I will reserve the date for you.

Cheers,

Jeff.

Cust.

Hi Jeff

The Sunday would be great thanks. In a new job and time off is a nightmare!

Thanks

mmmmm -seems fairly clear at that stage Jeff - obviously lines of communication (other than your own) then went badly awry.

In other news ........

Morning all - unusual for me to be in here in a Sunday - but I thought I'd share my news with you lot - I'm going on a diet

Why I hear you ask? - well, daughter is wearing jewellery on the third finger of her left hand - which means I'll be walking her down the aisle at some stage next year. Which in turn, means I'll have to put a suit on no doubt. Now, I do have a suit, but I think it's suffered from being stored in my "automatic clothes shrinking wardrobe" - hence the need for a diet

PS - I'll be passing the begging bowl around later
