Default 7k for a very dull car

I really can’t see why I might be tempted by this car for sale. For a start it’s already 5 years old. Regardless of mileage, it’s value is still that of a 5 year old car. It’s just 2 years away from being banger status in the eyes of dealers. You would be lucky to get half it’s price as a part ex.
It’s probably very capable but very dull and each knock or scratch it picks up only makes it worth less.

I think I've missed the point

Having driven one of these Ibizas they are actually not bad.

I owned a 2007 Leon Cupra, now that was a brilliant car in my opinion nicer than the Golf Gti that it was based on

Actually, I think that one will be worth the cash in a few years, if not at the moment. That mileage, combined with the fact it's a 6.0L V12 pre-facelift convertible makes it desirable. Even with that after-market steering wheel and US-spec double headlights.

In short, I'd 'av it!

I'd be scared to park it outside my garage - I live in Cumbria, and while I went to make a cup of tea to enjoy while I admired it, it would rain, so then I would have to put it away and dry it with a towel in case it caught a dose of rust.
