Default unknown plug at rear of 75 tourer

Having removed my rear subframe from my diesel tourer , I was painting underneath with hammerite when I noticed a white plug hanging next to the fuel cooler in the rear, not connected to anything. Should there be an electrical connection, of some kind, to the cooler? There are no other empty plugs or wires nearby. Thanks for reading.

Plug for dosing pump maybe?

A picture would definitely help.

Not one of these is it?

If so it is the vent from the fuel tank rollover valve. IIRC it should clip to the side of the fuel cooler.

Sorry guys, thanks for help so far, will try to get a photo up tomorrow (working nights at mo) btw, the plug is white but just doesnt seem to go anywhere! there's no under-bonnet heater fitted either, if that helps.

First photo is the unusual and disconnected plug, originally white but now showing signs of my unfinished black hammerite painting!!

and this other one I just noticed whilst taking the first picture, looks like another unused or broken connector to the rear of the fuel cooler, dont know what its for either. However, the parking sensors have never worked since I bought the car!!

Thanks for looking!

The second one looks like a pad sensor probably cut off to disable the warning light

First one looks like a fuel dosing pump plug

Second looks like the Brake pad wear sensor that someone has cut off (Edit..... didn't see Suzublu s post honest LOL)
