Default Is there an A/C specialist nearer Zummerzet than Jules?

My V6 was regassed last week - almost nil aircon - but still very poor. If I lived nearer to Jules of course I'd be off like a proverbial, but is there anyone a lot nearer with similar experience anyone can recommend please? (OK a forlorn hope, but I can but ask . . .)

Yep I realise that but I wanted a clone of Jules, not just anyone who happens to regass any ole motor.

Quite right Dave. Unfortunately Taunton doesn't seem to be blessed with an independent mobile specialist. The most promising result I could find is this.

From what you've said, providing that your radiator fan is working properly, it sounds as if you may need a new condenser.

Thanks for that but I was hoping for a recommendation. Anyway since I posted my village garage has found a hidden split pipe and several leaking seals for which I see Mr Rimmer wants four quid for a single O ring, not a pack, just one. I think the pipe is going to be tricky to find new but we'll see how they get on.

That's very unusual. I wonder how it came to split.

Hmmmm. 'O' ring leakage is miniscule and I've never known it to be detected by the usual means. It's rectified as soon as the system is used regularly when the rings are lubricated by refrigerant oil. You don't need to buy new ones.

There is Terry at TS Autos who is in south Shropshire but nearer to you is a specialist in all things air con.
Junction 9 on the M5 is Tewkesbury. I’ll go visit as I can’t remember the name of the place.
If it is in need of a condenser I’ve fitted 2 myself and it’s not difficult. A regass will then cost £50 at another garage close to me in Evesham.
Like anyone else we tend to know about the ones local to us.
