Reidy Remaps
Since I first posted this I have been in touch with Reidy Remaps of Yeovil mentioned a few times by R75 members (see here) who promise to produce "gains of up to 12bhp and 18ftlbs can be had depending on the vehicle. We charge £200 or £250 on our dyno to map these." They're only half an hour from me. While they have a rolling road - BigRuss has just a road - I know and trust him and I'm sure he wouldn't charge that much. But I guess I'll have to be reconciled that while I have a nice attractive smoooooth motor, it ain't never goin' to be an Alfa.

Trouble is that you were spoilt by having a 160 diesel Dave because of the torque
Reidy are a really good tuning company and the figures quoted are about what you could expect.
You could get a little more power just by fitting a cone air filter and a less restrictive exhaust.
Quite a few years ago I retuned Canonites ZT160 V6 to 177 he fitted a cone filter and less restrictive stainless exhaust.
On a rolling road day against a few ZT 190's his car produced the most bhp
I forget the exact figures will have to look them up
His car was manual though.

Just had a look at the results his cars power output was 182.9 bhp and the torque figure was 236 nm.

177ps is actually 174.579 bhp so his increase in power was 8.3 bhp

Not bad gains from the exhaust and air filter changes

Not an easy job, but I would check the cam timing, so many get this wrong.
Mine is overdue belts, but whilst doing it I intend to retime the cams to what I would expect to see. The problem is that though the inlet is easy, the exhaust looks to be very difficult without making something around the pulley.
If I get it done I promise to report back.
