Well the clutch plate from my 75 is now fitted to my TD4, and has been for a couple of years. When the slave failed on the 75 thought I'd treat it to a full clutch set, but the plate was well within the wear limits set by LR, so when the slave went on the Landy in it went. |

I had a Freelander 2. Lovely to drive and it felt as if it was well bolted together but I did spend a lot on upkeep!
If I were going down the 4x4 route again I would be looking for a Rav4. |

I had a year 2000 freelander 1.8 for about 5 years and loved it but as already said, the viscous coupling went, taking the intermediate gearbox with it just 2 weeks after purchase. We stuck with it but is suffered with same cheap and plastic parts, easily broken like the clutch system which is a sealed until, almost all plastic and the frame that the slave fits into was too easily bent over time. Inside was lovely and comfortable and body was immaculate but it was let down by the cheap plastic parts, throttle body also suffered from warping when hot. We spent most of the time in Italy with this car and i was constantly having to change parts after problems.
I'd agree re the RAV4, thats we have now (3 door) and the wife loves it, but misses her old pajero!!
