Default Tourer Load Cover Handles Available on eBay

Hi all,

Not sure if it's common knowledge, but if your load cover handle is broken and you haven't been lucky enough to find one in the scrapper then brand new ones are available on eBay.

https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?m...2F192998830992

I'm not in anyway associated with the seller, I just bought one, that's all.

It's perhaps a little steeply priced but it will be nice to have my car back up together in that department - it's not until you brake the handle that you realise how often you were using it!

Cheers Arctic! Handy for everyone to know.

I look forward to having my load cover back in fully functinoing condition!

As an aside - was the extendable dog guard an option or did it fall foul of Project Drive? My tourer has the plastic channels in the headlining but the load cover doesn't have the dog guard.

I think the extendable luggage guard was an optional extra so had to be paid for. they can be picked up for about £25.00

There is a original metal dog guard which sometimes come up on here & ebay.

Still worthwhile as I got mine from the breakers for a couple of quid.

Turns out that the seller of the original item I linked to is unable to fulfil the order as he's going to be away so I've purchased the BMW item above and will make the necessary adjustments.

Thanks all, v handy thread this one :-)

Just a follow-up message on this thread.

The BMW handle linked above arrived today and it's exactly the same part as my 2004 Tourer had fitted to its load cover, right down to the part number.

IMAG1851

Fitting is a little awkward because the cover is spring-loaded so keeps wanting to retract while you're trying to screw the screws in. The key thing is to get the lugs in the plastic handle lined up with the holes in the metal bar in the cover.

I'm pleased it's sorted now
