Sorry all. It must have been someone else at a nano meet that I was talking to. They said they seen them advertised, and when he went to see them, they were dirty and did not look too good. He wiped the one that looked the worst but it was ok. Not perfect , but ok. Will have to keep my eyes open at the following Meets to see if I can find out who it was. By the way, I think they do look the dogs when fitted. Really smart.

To bump one of my questions if I may.
Do any roof rails from another car fit our tourers?

A friend's Skoda estate is parked next to my Tourer outside work at the moment. His chrome roof bars do look very similar in shape and size to my black ones, its a 2010 Skoda model btw. i think the older BMW E46 also uses very similar size roof rails too.

Do you think he would mind if you measured them comparing them to the bars on a tourer?

Had a quick look before my colleague shot off at lunchtime. Almost the same size but fixings are different and the middle mount is closer to the rear than ours!!

It was I who had five sets of roof rails chromed, the chroming company was owned by the dad of a chap I knew. All were sold quite quickly. I informed Mark of a car being scrapped by someone who had a set of the chrome rails, the chap scrapping the car never really cared for them, so they had a few minor pit marks that cleaned up ok. There is a lot of work involved, so £350++ can be expected easily. It has been several years, and I think I charged £175 or £195. I will not be doing any more, the old man retired, the only way is to use a good chroming company and pay the price.
They doo look good though. as for BMW rails fitting the 75/ZT, fI looked into it, from what I can remember, they were close, but no cigar.
