FBH Silencer
Does anyone have a FBH Silencer fitted?
Does it make much difference? A couple of times over the last few days I have turned on my heater via text. Walk out to see everyone that walks past the car giving it strange looks lol.

It certainly will make a lot of difference, believe me,as long as it is a genuine unit and not a Chinese copy.

I'm afraid that I don't really know the difference as I had to take mine off as both it and the heater itself were described as the most sooted up units that they had ever seen by Devilish and Trebor despite the seller of my car insisting that it was working fine at the time of sale. I still have the silencer unit hoping to clean it out and refit it but have no idea of the best way to do so. In the meantime I rather sadly do get mildly amused by the notion that my neighbours who I don't get on with must be wondering what the aircraft starting up sound must be coming from my car as it warms up on its own on winter mornings. |

The FBH makes a noise and a parked car making a noise is bound to attract attention.
I don't think they require a silencer, my two in my opinion don't, I have straight thru pipes. macafee2 |

Silencer will not stop people looking and wandering, they are not that good. if you decide to fit one, make sure it is not cruddy and causes back pressure. I would not fit one.

Unlikely I will bother, I was curious as to how effective they really are.
I get the feeling "not very"
