FBH problem, again
My FBH was working fine until last night. I noticed something wasn't quite right but left it until this morning to investigate.
It goes through the start up process, pump can be heard clicking, but not increase in pace like it normally does. Instead, the pump stops and the FBH goes into evacuate mode, clearing itself of diesel & air vapour (white smoke) There is a little heat at the FBH end of the exhaust pipe, so it's trying but it looks like the flame is going out. What's the most likely cause? In need of a de-coke? Or is there another possibility? Thanks in advance

It sounds like the flame is present and either goes out or at least thinks it has gone out and shuts down
The glow plug acts as a flame sensor as well as initially glowing to ignite the fuel and if the resistance is incorrect it will shut it down. Any chance you can do a video from start up to shut down and I will listen to it for you, if you do not want all the bother of uploading to you tube to be able to post on here, send me a pm if you wish and you can whats app it over. The FBH would have to come off the car to change the glow plug

Thanks for the reply.
I have just been out to investigate further. Couldn't hear the water pump running, so I pulled the plug and put 12v to it. It worked fine, as it should really, it's only 12 months old. Cleaned the plug connections and all is well again. Must have got hot, then shut down.
