Cruise control in a diesel automatic is the main reason I no longer own a diesel automatic, however they are the same unit.

Part number is SCB100211

Driving on a motorway at 60mph, if there is an incline, the revs rise, gearbox has been known to change down, it's as though the car will do all it can to keep the speed to what is set. I hate it. It's fine on a flat road.
Pete.

Must say I agree Pete - whoever programmed the auto cruise function completely messed up.

Great on the manual as the car gently picks up speed until it gets to the desired set point, but the auto hunts up and down like a raving Banshee, most unRoverlike.

Yes Mike, on a steep incline when it kicks down 2 gears is all noise!
