I'm sure we're all thankful for hearing your thoughts on what could be done to improve an already good looking car Brian

Maybe you could post up some images of the 'scratch built' convertibles that you've produced to show us how it should be done...??

There is only problem with that is your statement "good looking car"

Also it's not scratch built, it is two different cars thrown together without a great deal of cohesion and a cement mixer full of filler, I'm surmising the last part based upon the pictures of the coupe build.

This is the Rover 75 and MGZT owners club, not the Mary Shelley Bitza, and kit car club after all.

If I wanted a car where I could check the oil level, and top up the screenwash without opening the bonnet on the other hand however..............well I'd be first in the queue

It doesn't really matter though, I don't like it, you love it, you want to brown nose it's creator, I do not, best to leave it there Paul

Let’s try and keep this a friendly place in 2020 !

If we all liked the same things what a boring world this would be.

Well I'm looking at a VW Caddy van tomorrow, I suspect it will be considerably less stressful owing something that isn't 15 years old as a daily.

So once I have my new motor, I'll be clearing out all of the 75 and ZT related gear..........and everyone can have a break from listening to me spout rubbish about rubbish cars, while talking out of my ar$e.

I've had a gutful, you are welcome to spend your time "enjoying" your R40 ownership, me I'm going to reclaim my life.

All the best everyone, and see you around sometime

I was dreading this, Brian has stated that at 1st glance the car looked great, and appreciated the work that was done, but went on to say what improvements would make it even better in his opinion. After all the input he put into this forum, his opinion did not deserve any rebuking. And i am sure there are many on here who would agree, and surely miss his guidance.
Brian,if you ever visit S.Wales you are more than welcome to come and give my tyres a good kicking.

I have been following this "discussion" and came to the same conclusion!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Let's keep it there.

Let us also pay our respect to Gerry for his efforts and the cars he builds. I for one could not even come close to such an endeavor

I think the cars are stunning, nothing short of absolute amazing.
But I also think anyone is entitled to their views.
I don't care two hoots if others like it or not.
I do.
