Default Uneven rear tyre wear

The offside rear tyre on my ZT is wearing on the inside of the tread. Any ideas please as to what might be the cause and a possible solution. Many thanks.

The wheels/tyres must be set to follow a specific line, so anything that upsets the line will cause abnormal wear. Every moveable joint on the rear suspension has to be in good condition to maintain the line. The tracking can also be knocked out from impacts on the wheels. Broken components like road springs or failing arms will also do it. Your best bet is to take the car to a local tracking depot where they'll inspect the joints and make any required adjustments. here's the MGR specs for front/rear wheel tracking.

I have heard some were out of spec when new.

Had mine four wheel tracked a couple of years ago, been good ever since.

Suggest you don't get it aligned with unevenly worn tyres as that can upset the results. Loads the rubber bushes and as you can see the figures a very precise
