Default Aluminium Intercooler

These were all the rage a while back has anyone fitted one and what are your opinions on them worth the money/hassle or not?

Thanks in advance

Captain Crappycrimp.

I had one fitted to Lord Rovers old car, didn't do anything for performance.

No, they don't work, in fact they will make your car very very very slow indeed

As Brian says above they cause problems.

I've seen 3 cars now with these fitted and they cause the performance to drop like a stone.

Great if you like being overtaken by a pushbike

When a good used original intercooler was refitted performance went back to normal.
