Default the damage after loud bang

stripped the front of my rover 75 tourer v6 auto ,after somebody drove into the front of it to see what the damage was ,the bumper grill, o/s wing, wanted to see damage behind this would be , seems to be under tray ,radiator ,condenser , oil cooler and complete fan assembly .never had the front of before ,manage to source panels in same colour and fan from E bay ,rad and condenser in euro parts 30% sale and oil cooler from E bay now for the daft question? ,the oil cooler is it for the auto transmission or engine . was leaking some fluid after crash water and oil

OK found the answer Auto

Good luck with getting it all back together - I did a similar job with my tourer after a frontal impact, albeit less serious than yours.

I made two mistakes when reassembling my car's front end which I still haven't had time rectified yet:

1. I aligned the bottom rear of the front wing with the sill edge and not the door. If you fit the wing loosely, then close the door, you'll get the correct alignment.

2. The crash bar that goes across the front has quite a lot of adjustment. Mine is too low, which affects the height of the front bumper. Go high, and then trial-fit the bumper and make sure the shut-line under the front of the bonnet is not too big.

Good luck!
