And the next mod is ...
Like Alex I am restless ... this is a taster for what I hope to be working on over the holidays ... (just a dryfit HU face held in place with blutack!)
This is of course part one - part two will be the 7" touchscreen in place of Harmony HU ... More later (if I manage to get something sorted) ...

Oooh... very swish Mr.Christopher!!
It'd be interesting to see how this all works out. I'm sure many people will be following in your footsteps with aftermarket slide-out navigation consoles and the like.... |

Hi Alex, well I've sorted the wiring out and made sure all the electrical side is working (which it is). Now I'm working on the 2nd centre-console bit I got off ebay a while back - basically hacking at it (gently of course) to get the unit to fit - plenty of space just trying to work a bit of upwards tilt to the HU face as it will be low down in the center console ...
with the weather as it is at the moment its not likely I'll be able to try any fitting right now though as R70 sleeps outside and the weather is most foul ... I'll keep you posted and post some piccies once there is something interesting to photograph! I also got side-tracked fitting my Parrot bluetooth handsfree kit into the lights cluster so it looks all OEM - was only meant to be a few hours job - ended up a good day and a half - but it was good fun and the end product is just what I wanted ... Another thing I looked into is how one could fit 'door open' lights into the side of each door - after carefully looking at the cct diagrams it would seem that as the clever 75 does everything via the BCU - there is no 'resident' +ve supply in the doors that could be used and it is switched in via the BCU be it for windows, illumination or operating the locks ... so a +ve supply needs to be brought into each door to do these lights ... on the plus side I identified the wire which is connected to the door switch though
