Glad to hear I'm not the only one who's not got it right. Were you connecting on the i-Bus or K-Bus?

Sorry to drag up this old thread, but I keep coming across it whilst searching for info so thought I may as well post on it...

We have an ZT-T+ so I don't feel too guilty about posting about a Range Rover!

I have a 2004 Autobiography that has a Webasto Petrol FBH, obviously petrol FBH's seem to be very rare, even though it was an optional fitment on every petrol RR Vogue the dealers lack of knowledge meant very few people ever ticked the box when ordering their cars.

The Diesel TD6 and TDV8 have them fitted as Aux Heaters as standard with remote/timed heating available on the diesel Vogues.

Anyway, to my issue:
I'd like to get the Webasto Diagnostics SW working, but as yet I've been unable to communicate with the unit across the i-Bus. You guys seem to communicate with it via your K-Bus, now I know the K-Bus features heavily in the RR, mainly running heating controls, SRS, Rain Sensor and TPMS Module to name a few things.

MUST I use the K-Bus? Have any of you used the i-Bus?

Any ideas on where I can tap into the K-Bus on a Range Rover?

Thanks in advance, and apologies for the forum invasion

Dan

There should be a wire to the FBH, for diagnostics......You need to establish if it's K-Bus or I- Bus. You need an interface to pick up that wire accordingly. Rolfer does an I bus interface.

It could be that someone does a K bus, if this one isn't suitable..
