I've a question, what can you tell me about the radio reception quality?

Thanks.

Hi Rob, I can receive all the UK radio stations as before, you have the option to select Europe, America or China under the radio menu.

I like you was a bit dubious whether or not this unit would perform, so far I am blown away, especially due to its cheap price point.

Big thanks to Wes for the "heads up" on this (see what I did there). Ordered one last week and it arrived today from China, quicker than the rear view camera I ordered from UK. Installed this afternoon and I'm well pleased with it. Sounds good. For the money a great bit of kit. had a little play around with it as the manual is useless but it's all fairly simple.
just need to suss out how the bluetooth works.

Lol

Glad you are pleased Steve, some items arrive quicker from China than they do from here in the UK. I ordered another unit and it arrived in 7 days, the other two came in 12 days... Amazing!

Ref: Bluetooth, just select Bluetooth on the DD, then activate Bluetooth on your phone, your phone will search and fine the DD in a few seconds. You can also access and play your music from your phone via Bluetooth.

I also finished installing the one in SWMBO Ford Galaxy today, what a job that was. I had to take out the whole centre console just so I could cut/shave top and bottom lip (about 5mm).

Then had to sand and spray (silver) to match and cover the rough scratched inner surround, you cant even notice, great job if I do say so myself.

Looks very good indeed.

Looking at the pictures I guess its standard connections. I would assume though that there are no steering wheel controls

Very tempting indeed

Hi Simon, It has a Orange/Black wire to support Steering Wheel Key Controls, but dont ask me where to connect this wire to the Car loom?

Is there two wires from the BMW loom for SWC, Blue/Purple for output and Blue/Orange is earth? I think.

I was not brave enough to try it out, so if anyone can confirm if you just connect the Orange/Black wire from the 2Din ISO harness, to the Blue/Purple wire from the cars loom.

Then what do we do with the Blue/Orange earth wire? (connect to earth I suppose).

Default Re Head Unit

Hi

I've just ordered 1 of these units and looking forward to receiving it soon.

I was wondering if you could tell me how you get the Rover MG logo on the unit and also if it is there all the time when the unit is powered up.

I'm going the whole hog and getting a reversing cam too.

Thanks

Col
