And had something similar to this - It turned out the plugs going to the tv unit had badly corroded. Are they covered in something that resembles limescale?

As for the other problems, have you tried the big block connector that goes into the radio module? It might be a loose wire (in my case a purple one). This can come loose and short on something, blowing fuse 22 (small 15amp) in the process.

Hi David. I know this is an old thread but can you remember where the original plug for the stereo is that I need to plug my cd player in to? I know it is down the bottom of the unit behind the air con and the ash tray as I have removed all of that.

If the lead was in place, then there were two places as standard, where the CD changer was installed. First was in the glove box, then second somewhere in the boot. I believe mounted on the boot floor, near side, but not certain on that one. I also think it had to be the correct CD player/changer to work with the MGR system. You cannot just plug any old CD system in. There are better, more modern options, like an adaptor to allow an Iphone, or Iwhatsit to be used instead of a CD.

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.
