Whats really sad is, in some of those categoreys Bmw, Mercedes etc had ruled the roost since year dot, then Rover pushed them aside just like that.....:lol:
But didn't have the clout to follow it up.....

Because the press were so quick to deride anything from BL/ARG/Rover/MG-Rover et al the public go oh they're rubbish because Clarkson/The Sun/Mail says so, never having actually driven one, or once owned a Friday afternoon special from the 70s!
