Whats really sad is, in some of those categoreys Bmw, Mercedes etc had ruled the roost since year dot, then Rover pushed them aside just like that.....:lol:
But didn't have the clout to follow it up.....

I've said this before and I'll say it again - Rovers demise started back in the 1970s with the likes of Red Robbo.......

And carried on with the great British press constantly putting the marque down at every opportunity Because the press were so quick to deride anything from BL/ARG/Rover/MG-Rover et al the public go oh they're rubbish because Clarkson/The Sun/Mail says so, never having actually driven one, or once owned a Friday afternoon special from the 70s!
