Yes thats a good sign re the knowledge of the paint type.

Itís getting done beginning of Feb so Iíll post the results then.
Will probably get the lower chrome trim resprayed at the same time as the paints 75% came off.
Need to find a Ďhow toí guide for their removal prior.

Flat blade screwdriver below the lower edge of the trim, lever outwards until you can get your fingers on the trim, then pull the trim upwards and outwards at the same time working your way along.

I had mine repaired by Kerridges (Needham Market) recently to pass the MoT. Looks a good job, but didn't include the jacking point. They are former MG-Rover dealers so know the paint colours if needed.

The chap Iíve found is Reynolds Restorations. He used to do the work for Kerridges so in safe hands
