Cool Fan is constantly on.

The fan on the Bear is continuously on. Only started this evening after a 40 mile drive. Pulled out the various relays and fuses but it stayed on. Had to disconnect the battery to get it to stop. Shut the tailgate, oh! Poo!! Then had to tip the rear seats forward and climb into the back to pull the emergency cord, not a pretty sight of my rear struggling in and out.

Any ideas?

What temp are you seeing with the 19/07 diagnostic - if the coolant temp sensor has failed the ECU in the absence of a signal defaults to run the fan as a failsafe - so run 19/07 to see if the sensor is working.

Car now in the workshop as I have only just seen this. Will relay the information to them. See my other post titled “Poorly Bear” for the saga.

But many thanks.
