Default MG Live 2024

I read somewhere that MG Live 2024 has been cancelled, from what I could tell due to rising costs that are not going to go down never to return, is it true.

1ve been wondering about mg live for a while and my contacts seem to say that the costs of Silverstone were getting far to much which didn't surprise me from the many many times ive been to their . we have taken our own food for many years . it is very expensive... over resent years silverstone have treated the MGCC poorly , like deciding to without warning or any thought to the MGCC to reservice the track forcing mg live to have to be cancelled.... AT short notice . i was booked to go that year ,

I saw in December another event later in the month which MMCC was involved in and i wondered if it was a sort of replacement ? except this event held at the 3 counties show ground is a big muli car group event ;like mg live but without the on track stuff , with car groups from MG, Triumph ,Rover Austin and all things bmc , Leyland etc etc ..

certain groups get a discount , i did from the MGCC and plan to take our MGZS . the event very much is a muli car club coming together for the sake of comman interest . working together for the sake of the cars and shared interest . , i guess if a success it may start to be ongoing . given resent high costs of living big car events need to work together at our level of car fandom leaving big bussnesses like silverstone to keep putting prices up and up .. ill be at silverstone in AUG for what was the classic which silverstone has taken over in house since the pandemic ..

ive been to many mg lives and i can se why some thought it was getting a bit past its best so a big shake up could do some good . ive been to two big events in which MG and triump have done joint events and they have been successful so the new big multi geoup evet should be worthy and open to many cars . i just hope my current health problems don't mean i cant go due to going to hospital for a operation ... which can be in a few days or months .... i hope to go from the friday to the sunday end of june for this multi car club event which must be a replacement to MG LIVE
