Many thanks for the input from everyone, I’ve now carried out a crackle test and there doesn’t appear to be any water in the oil I drained from the sump, which is a huge relief.
I can only conclude the water under the oil filler cap is just condensation and that will go as the weather gets warmer?, the water level in the header is still falling slightly though so the hunt for the culprit continues. |
