ZTT Seat Linkage

Hi All
I have a 05 mk2 ZTT fitted with a manual full black leather interior. It has just failed the MOT because the drivers seat won't adjust on the runners. The linkage from the moulded handle which is pulled up at the front to the connection at the back is missing (previous owner) The Rimmers exploded diagram is not clear as to if it's a cable or a wire type link - there is no part number or description on these items and they are not available in any case.
Does anyone know how to describe this link or know of a part number? Anybody got a scrap seat? Waiting the car to come back from the garage at present.
