Is it not Tim?

He was the one who posted that the site was down for maintenance

Thanks Steve.

I had no idea Brian. I've never been on there.

I met a couple of their members at a show but two years in a row they completely blanked me when I tried to talk to them about their car. This year, same two were with someone in a two sixties polo, blanked me again.

I've never been blanked by someone showing a car before, especially when it was the only rover 75 or ZT at the event so I do understand what you mean when you say some 260 owners come across as elitist.

I dont think Brian thinks 260's are quite as bad as he makes them out to be, it's taken me a bit of time but I'm slowly coming to the conclusion he posts with his tongue firmly in his cheek at times.

Well this is one owner who won’t blank you. I try my best to promote which in my opinion is a lovely car and very few know about them in this area.

The car the Primertallic one replaced was an Anthracite MK1........and I still rue the day I sold that as the MK2 isn't a patch on it.

I dont expect you would les. I doubt very many do. At the end of the day, I was trying to engage someone who was proud enough of their MK 2 V8 that they took it to the same show three years in a row. They advertise the 260s site but every single time I tried to hold a conversation with them they simply weren't interested. Not sure if its because I'm a woman, or I'm five foot in my heels, or they're just miserable sods ....

As a nurse I was going to check for signs of life, because they didn't get off their folding chairs once, fortunately I didnt need to because as soon as the man wearing the 260 polo came along they both became very talkative and I thought I even saw one smile

I think in three years the only response I got was ''ok'' when I said ''I've got a MK1 in Raven black at home. Is yours platinum gold?''

Different strokes for different folks I suppose
