Talking Yellow Banana

I have just been watching a programme about trains on channel five, and they have had the nerve to call their rail measuring train..........Flying Yellow Banana. I think they are breaking copyright laws?
Don’t tell you know who. .

I suspect it runs around the country a wee bit faster than Bob does.

Thats the one. Evidently got some cutting edge technology on board for detecting cracks and other faults on the rail and sleepers.

If it is copyright, Bob is going to get very rich. Asda, Tesco, M&S, even Aldi and Lidl all use it every day!

Being based at a predominantly freight depot I wasn't trained on HSTs but during the driver training course the instructor had us on them a few times. Back in the BR days the instructor had you on a variety of trains to gain experience. I was lucky enough to be at the controls on a 125mph stretch of the ECML (East Coast Main Line), 125 mph with 4,500 HP and around 500 tons was a buzz.

Cool

There's a early helicopter nicknamed the Flying Banana, and there is a bus called The Flying Banana and of course the train.

But they will never replace "our" Flying Banana.
