Park it up and get the R8 tourer on the road.

This is the position.

The car has roughly eight weeks MOT remaining, all four tyres are due for replacement, it will most likely need upper rear arms, a couple of brake pipes and a pair of discs on the front.

So given that I've never particularly liked this car in comparison to my previous ZT, is now the time to pull it apart and save the nice bits for something else, or do I pull the box and confirm if the DMF has bought the farm

It has full sports leather memory seats without rips or damage, and everything else works as to be expected, apart from the rear blind, which sometimes sticks.

This car owes me nothing, but I feel no real affinity for the car, despite it being my daily for over four years.

I really am torn on this one.

Been there a few times.

If it was me personally I've fixed a car and sold it on and found something that I'm in love with. The auto I crashed last month is good example. Grew to hate it but it was diesel auto, now the white diesel manual is basic but far happier to drive it.

Torch it. Once its going nicely, chuck an unopened Fray Bentos pie in there, half an hour later it will explode spattering 'meat' all over the inside.

That should throw forensics off the scent for a while.

A lot of work for something you don't particularly like Bri.

Sounds like it is time to strip the seats and other goodies out and send it on its way.

I've made the mistake of spending a lot of time and money on a car I didn't love just to avoid it being scrapped. End result? I lost money when I fixed it and sold it. A year later the buyer broke it, having got a years motoring out of her achieving double what he'd paid me and I ended up feeling like a total idiot.
