Yes last winter I had a power drain that I couldn't track down. The tractor I had then was flat every day for about a month. I used one of these until my o/h finally got round to getting the drain found. I've since used it to start a completely flat navaro 2.5 that hadn't started in months. They've got plenty of punch. |

I am doing loft clearance. I only ever used the starter once. Not sure how old it was. Yesterday, I gave a charity shop, a Bosch jig saw and a Bosch drill, tomorrow they are getting two electric sanders and a body shop car polisher. I took some stuff to a car meet and no one was that interested in having what I wanted to part with. Today I disposed of the Black and Decker car starter at recycling, it has gone. Tomorrow a neighbour is going to help me bring down the ladder, some heavy furniture from the loft and a brand new Mark one front bumper colour coded in Wedgwood, which I bought as a spare many years ago.

I would have had the bumper off you if I'd been closer , I get to Watford from time to time but won't be down till just before Xmas now. Is it the later Wedgwood blue used on the Longbridge cars? Seems a shame just to scrap it .
Martyn Just noticed your 75 is a S reg, so it's probably a Cowley Wedgwood blue. Last edited by squire; 6th November 2018 at 21:19.. |

Sorry to disappoint you, I never said I am scrapping it, a neighbour is helping me to bring it down from the loft. It is JEL coded and is highly protected in acid free paper and bubble wrap, not a mark on it. It would be a crime to scrap it and sods law, the next day the car would in a smash.

Not disappointed, just didn't want to see a good bumper scrapped. Hope you keep it because the moment you don't is when you'll need it (hopefully not).
All the best with the clear out, got our loft to do oneday Regards, Martyn |

Thank you very much Martyn for those kind thoughts. I am moving to Bristol where there is another loft My DIY days are over and my wife has told me to ditch my tools. That is a hard instruction to have to follow. Despite her instructions, I am taking 3 tool boxes with me. When Woof25 passed away 2 years ago, being a mate, he bequeathed all of his car tools to me. I am visiting Bristol on Thursday to see if the new loft is going to be able to take the bumper. All the best in find the right bumper for yourself. Another mate, a banned member has 27 Rover 75 bumpers in his loft. Would you like me to ask him to help you out? If so, drop me a pm
