75 Tourer with Traction Control on Ebay
Hi all,
Spotted this earlier today: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2002-ROVE...zPGC:rk:2:pf:1 1 owner from new and 132K with fully backed service history. I can't see any cruise controls on the steering wheel and there are only 2 switches in the fascia (although not too clear these look like heated seat switches to me) where I'd expect to see a TC switch. As I'm in Tamworth & the car is in Hounslow - which is a fair trek - I contacted the seller. They have confirmed: "Traction Control is yes" and "Cruise is yes" Am I missing something here? Oh, and the "1 V CAREFUL OWNER FROM NEW" has had MoT fails in 2006; 2009; 2010; 2013; 2015; 2016; 2017 & 2018 - albeit nothing desperate. Thoughts? Thanks. Andy. Sounds like a sack of lies to me. For a start there are no switches that would enable the cruise to work (the buttons are for the heated seats), there's no memory function for the seats so I doubt it's anything other than a regular Connie (although the lack of parking sensors are making me think it's possibly a disguised Club SE), plus wouldn't a car with traction control need a switch to turn it on/off?
Me doth think he doesn't know his 75's very well.

Don't you just love the bit about it being "literally immaculate".

Either who ever was driving it is 7' tall or the driver's seat is tactically positioned so you can't see the usual worn bolster.

My ZTT has cruise and the set and resume controls are on the RHS of the steering wheel which this doesn't have.

Enlarge the interior pic and you can see the two buttons are for heated seats. No sign of anything for cruise or traction control, and no cruise switches on the steering wheel

Run away!
alarm bells rining at the grubby seat, floor, wheel and door handle. It is as though an uncaring mechanic or scrap yard worker has jumped in to move it after the changed the bonnet over (looks a different shade - which doesnt follow onto the top of the wings). Add that to the auction house 'sold' writing on the screen along with the bidder number. Along with the 'lies' or just plain ignorance, any confidence in the seller evaporates. But in fairness it is probably more car trader hyping up an ad. Everything is 'rare' sorry 'RARE' or 'WOW' . These ads put me off straight away. For entertainment I tried to find an address to find out if they had reviews, but cant see it. Did find THIS though. Would have loved to have seen the ad. But it is from 2009, it must have said 'very powerful, like an M3' lol - hence my entertainment. Price wise it is surely ok if the clutch is fine, but I cant help but think that the slave or master has popped on the previous owner, and they have put it through the auction to get shot of it.

Well, he's a very rude seller if his reply to an innocent question is anything to go by!
