Default Brexit, again I dont get it

According to the news if we leave with no deal it will be easier to smuggle and there will be long queues getting to Dover.

ok, so now I know our border security is pants, thanks for that I now feel so secure.

Every country should have good border security, not doing so plays into the hands of criminals. More checks are required of people and vehicles coming into and going out of the country

Brexit day should be moved back 3 days! It's all going to be ok, Not. I feel sorry for the young people, I wouldn't blame them if they voted with their feet. In a second referendum vote that doesn't include a remain option, where the choice is no deal or a bad deal, I'll choose a no deal, it's the only way to exorcise the brexit beast.

I tend not to worry about things I can't do anything about, well, I don't worry anyway. Thing is, we're coming out and that's it, made our bed and all that. I do feel we'll be fine, and as for slating the PM, well, someones gotta do it. I'm optimistic, my daughter (who is in finance) isn't, but like me, she'll roll with it.

The sooner we're out, the better we'll be & control should've never been handed to the EU on a plate in the first place!

The people (including me) have spoken & that's that & we will be absolutely fine as we were before.

I could go on but I won't........

I don't think I made my point very well, in fact not at all

why should our security be worse after brexit, why should smuggling and trafficking go up, as this is what the news indicated would happen? why should we get longer queues to leave

I believe 'europeans' find it easier to pass through our borders because they are deemed to be 'our friends'. After brexit, nobody will be given that privilege, so checks will become more stringent. This will obviously cause delays to people coming into the country. Can't see how security will be compromised, it's just that the process will take longer.

At the moment there is freedom to move and travel, if one side decides to put in, say a requirement for visas then so will the other side. This will mean more checks of those at borders, with no increase in capacity it would mean greater queues.

Whether this happens will shall wait and see.
