Default What would cause this?

Anybody tell me what would cause a car to suddenly start to have the front fogs on permanently?

It's not one of mine, it's my sister's 1.8. The plenums are dry, there's no flooding and no water.

Removing the fog light fuse turns them off, replacing the fuse doesn't. My only thought was a drowned ecu, but thats not it.

Maybe not the correct answer but have you tried disconnecting the battery for a while and everything will reset itself

The fogs fitted as accessories are switched on via a relay in the underbonnet fusebox. Maybe worth checking/swapping that?

On a completely bone dry car, I found that a faulty LSM caused the fogs to remain on. Probably one of the relay switches inside it stuck on due? Once changed out was all good.
