Cheers, can’t take credit for the detailing work as got a local Detailer to do it. I would never have got a decent result unless swirls and holograms are the order of the day lol. Just doing this bit by bit tho and well please with the difference just cleaning up the front lights made. Hopefully come spring time it’s break open the box of rust treatment goodies I have and get the underside looking respectable. Plenty other bits and pieces as time and money allow, really miss having a decent exhaust but it will come lol.
Just planning using this thread as my progress thread as I remember to update it

Thought I would pop some more up to date pics up etc.

And finally got started on the rust treatment with the rear arches now cleaned, wire brushed, treated and epoxy coated. Forgot how tedious this is so doing in stages but at least it looks a bit more respectable when the wheels are off. Will likely update this post with a list of what’s actually been done once I can remember what has actually been done lol but air con compressor replacement booked in for Thursday so looking forward to it working again, hopefully!

The ZT is still going well, has had a set of coil packs since last update and exhaust system plus other bits a pieces I wanted to add but I have been neglectful of late and the paint was covered in water marks and had lost its close up shine. My mate has trained as a detailed so he had been itching to get his mitts on the car and tidy up some areas that annoyed him so took a run up yesterday for a few drinks too. He helped me in the ways of machine polishing and between the 2 of us put on several hours of work and she came right back up again.

Still a list as long as my arm, as always but I have the material for redoing the headlining and pillar trims plus a new Arial to reduce the amount I have around the windscreen. Now the drier it at least longer days are here I'm hoping to get it done fairly soon.

Thanks very much Mick, not enough hard work from me means it could be a lot better but progress is progress even if it's just a little

And finally got the saggy headliner replaced. It's not 100% perfect but for a first go I'm happy with it. Grey suede effect headliner material from Martrim and a black suede look material for the A, B & C pillars.
I have had the materials sat in the garage since October.
Also the hardest bits to get off when removing the old headliner were the saggy bits I had temporarily glued up to get by, great if your happy to make do but I wouldn't recommend if your planning on redoing the headliner anytime soon. Just pin it up, saves time and risk of damage to the board when removing the old material .
I have material left over I could use for the sunvisors, but basically I haven't a clue how best to retrim them.

Looks a good job Gary, not one of the easier tasks so I'm told.

I have the same issue on my facelift 45.I haven't heard of it happening with other marks, maybe the glue used at the factory not the best. Then again you don't see many cars almost 20 years old still being used as a daily.
