Default 75 zt

Hi all

New member here after some advice.

My father-in-law recently passed away and he owned a yellow 2003 Rover 75 ZT 2.0 D mileage is approximately 134k which is currently in storage.

Looks like the MOT expired a couple of weeks ago and I know it recently had a new clutch and when I went over to take a look yesterday it seems in reasonable condition.

I really want to know what the market is like for these at the moment and where the best place would be to advertise it for sale, I’ll probably get cleaned up and MOT’d prior to the sale.

Thanks in advance

First of all Ian, condolences for your loss.

In terms of the car, it is subjective as to what they are worth, certainly less without MOT.

You could pay a subscription and advertise it here, however you may be as well with a classified on eBay.

Given it is Trophy Yellow, you will have a limitation to the market, or alternately it could act in your favour.

If it were me, I'd be tempted to take it for an MOT then advertise it, as cars without an MOT rarely achieve more than scrap value.

Yellow is a desirable colour as relatively rare -is it primrose yellow ? I would try and sell it on here first - see members cars for sale - always helps to post pictures as well.

Hi, it’s trophy yellow, I’ll get some better pictures as soon I’ve got it out of the garage.

After your sad loss you may not feel like doing much with it, but it is quite rare in that colour, and looks in good condition from the picture. I would get it MOT'd and then run it around for a few days (only 1 months tax required and will sell better if you can legally demonstrate it). You never know, you might actually enjoy it!

Default Excellent previous MOT history.

Excellent previous MOT history. Passed first time on 14 MOT's out of 16.
Suspect it will sail through MOT. Or fail on minor issues easily fixed.
