AIR-BAG LIGHT ALWAYS "ON" 75/05 tourer auto diesel
Hello all, I am trying to find a cure for the above fault condition. The drivers foot well is swimming with water, could this be coming from the "plenum chamber" which I did find blocked. I suspect, after reading other reports that damp would cause this fault - the light stopping on. Where do I find this sensor which I gather is around the seat area. I am getting desperate on this one!

The air bag sensor will be under the carpet, and should be near to the door inner sill, you will need to replace it with one from another Tourer facelift not from a saloon, i think big russ stated this not so long back.
You will also need to correct the leak to stop more water entering, think i answered your other post about water in the foot well do you have a sun roof ?

Disconnect your battery and unclip the yellow plug, take it apart give it a good clean with an elctrical spray cleaner, put it all back and light should go out?Hope this helps.

Hi
thanks for responding. The Pt Number you have quoted appears to be the bar code rather than the part number that seems to start with "Y". With the confusing choice of orange and green sensors for the same part number and the fact that the tourer also seems different to the saloon I just need to make sure I get the right part rather than taking a flyer. A problem with the wiring/connector for the seat belt pretensioner can also cause the airbag light to illuminate.

I note that you have a 2001 Tourer therefore I would imagine you have the green sensor, if I remember rightly Big Russ stated not so long back that the Tourer would need a sensor from another Tourer as a salon green sensor would not fit. The saloon sensor part number is ( YDB 100310 ) maybe if you drop Russ a PM he could either give you the Tourer part number or another member whom reads this may know, Arctic
