Default Spare Plug?

Found this plug on the right with purple & green wires hanging between the aircon pipes. Can anyone advise what it is for? From a previous thread it may be cruise control related (not fitted).

Also, would I be correct in saying that the plug on the left is the "tertiary" plug related to the aircon? Want to do a self check as aircon not so good.

Thank

It's actually the trinary switch (yes, related to the aircon). It's a dual-pressure activated switch that controls the operation of the cooling fan and the compressor clutch.
