Aye.......will be up your way soon ( we are only just in Scotland to be fair!!) when we do the North Coast 500..........sadly it will be in the Middlebridge and not the R75.

Like the Elgin area, lovely part of the World.

Zed is off to Biggar in the R75 today which hopefully will be a nice ride through the Borders before getting to Lanarkshire.

Yesterday he had a busy day, firstly getting a good look at my Rover 75...........

Then he looked over the V6 in the Middlebridge engine bay.............

Finally he checked over the new rear discs on the R75 which Ashley had just fitted.......

Zed stayed in today to await a parcel...........got excited about the contents till I told him they were for the Middlebridge and not the 75..........

He seemed pleased with the bag of sweets Nigel at QRG ( Middlebridge specialist) had put in the parcel!

Zed has got to help Ashley with the rear springs on the R75 tomorrow but more about that next time.

Today Zed was off to the football to experience Hibernian FC

Borrowed a shirt and got ready...........

Had a look at the outside of the stadium.....................

Then had a look around the stadium itself....................

Before taking his seat for the game and enjoying a Bovril.........................

Didn't jinx the side either as he saw them win 2:0..............now onto those rear springs.................

After the excitement of Easter Road , zed has been busy helping Ashley with the rear springs.

Whilst returning with zed from Biggar last week, we were stuck in a traffic jam when all of a sudden there was a slight crunch and ping from the rear offside. There was no discernible loss in ride performance but as we hadn't been run into by another car , Ashley immediately thought of the rear springs.

Once back in the garage he had a look and indeed the rear offside spring had fractured just after the first coil turn.

One can see why often an owner does not know it has happened till the MOT. I will go into more technical detail elsewhere on the forum but here are some shots of zed "helping"

Checking the new spring v the fractured one............

Checking the drain holes in the lower arm are OK before putting the new spring in .......

Thanks to "marinabrian" for his fantastic method of spring removal.
