What I did with my Rover 75/MG ZT today? - Page 913

Fitted my 75 and ZT club badge today - I had to take off the front bumper to fit it, i'm not sure if there's an easier way, but it kept me occupied for about an hour - you have to pull the front bumper quite hard to take it off, and snapping it back on is even harder! It's good practice for when I eventually fit the mk1 ZT front to it though, but i'm not too sure about doing that now, the facelift has really grown on me. Had a good time doing it actually, as the weather was surprisingly decent and it was a fairly easy job.

Hi Brian.
Only ever used mine once in the three years I have owned it, showed to a few people though

I also had a spare KKB101923 at one time from a freelander they fit the M47 you just have to cut down the thread, Mr trebor had it for his car.

Memo to my self purchase another spare

Finished fitting the window regulator after yesterday's effort got hailed on.
The old one was a bit rusty in places as was the cable which had snapped so gave everything a good dosing of gt85 while in the door in an attempt to stop the door from freezing up.

Took bumper off to restore headlights and try to fix the drip from washer pump.

Ruined one headlight using the Sealey kit but may have had some success with the washer pump using PTFE tape around the bit where the pipes click on. Is there supposed to be a grommet or rubber o ring there?

Bumper was pain to put back on where you have to bash the side bits in.

Will be putting a request on 'items wanted' for a good used facelift halogen projector (passenger side)

Washed'n'Waxed after a service yesterday @ Lates600.
Only the 4th wash in 7 days, I'm slacking.

Oh and prepared the wallet for the news of a new clutch in the near future.

Weekend checks on both cars, washed both cars , waxed the tourer as it wasn't beading.

Then looked at the tourers brake switch as it's sticking on occasionally (cruise not engaging was the give away ), I have no skin on both arms but managed to click it back in place , it works , but not expecting it to last - not looking good forward to trying to change it finding it was bad enough

Washed two 75 and one ZT, then blew up the tyres on the tourer.

I walked the dog, drank coffee, then made something for tea.

On saturday I decided to give the 75 a nice wash and put Diesel to the fullest at the gas station. Then I cleaned it at the wash station parking lot. Took their vacuum cleaner and polished inside and outside.

Today it rained and I drove at night. There is something I cant describe. You just feel secure. When the rain hits the windows it feels different, when I compare it with my former small rubbish car Nissan Micra. You just feel secure and comfy.

A great car!
