Broke down, again.................
.................................. in The Flying Banana. If this car was not so special to me I think I would consider scrapping it. The inertia switch has failed again. Am now waiting for recovery from the Haynes motor museum, seems a good place to breakdown, and taking the car back to Matt Darkes. Bazza58 was going to wait but he has now left.
Recovery will be with me by 13.45. Still at least the sun is out and it’s a warm day.

That Banana is being a naughty girl of late.
But there are far worse places to break down. Hope it’s a simple fix. |

Bad luck mate.
I'm reasonably new to these cars; what's the inertia switch?

With that in mind, I think it would be worth seeing if the connector is plugged in properly, and give the thing a bop with your hand, then push down on the rubber cap to reset the switch. Brian |

Bob, my 1.8t used to not start once in a while, and was told to replace the interia switch, which I did, a few months later it wouldn't start again, Sonic and I checked to see if you could hear the fuel pump working with the fuel cap off, no sound, renewed the fuel pump cartridge, it been OK for years now.

Pity Ford Sierra owners. Harsh language would set those off.
