Default Just goes to show

Hello all,
As some of you may remember, I shagged my ZT190 engine about 2 years ago?
Got it fixed, at a great cost, and then got it home. Only 6 months later to have it not run (idle) properly.
I pretty much had a hissy fit at it and left it marinating on my driveway!
Decided to hop in it one day not that long ago and see if it would go. Well it fired up straight away, then stalled again.....grrrrrrr.
Had another go, and gently eased the throttle back.......and the b*@#*h of a thing purred like a kitten!
Making the most of it, I took it for a drive down the road, and it behaved perfectly, until I went to turn into my driveway, where it stalled again.
Long story short.....it seems that the idle control valve had stuck or something. I got out and turned the car off, unplugged the wires and got a small weight. Tapped all around the control valve that I could reach, plugged the wires back in....and hey presto it has run like a charm ever since.
Needless to say it goes in for a Warrant of Fitness (MOT) tomorrow.
Poor thing has only travelled about 600 odd kilometres since the engine was totally rebuilt. So maybe lack of use has been the culprit.
Going to use it for work the next two weeks (80km round trip each day). That should sort it out!
Oh and as a foot note, whilst out driving the rear interior light unit decided to part company with the roof lining. Yep you guessed it, those two little plastic hooks had broken off. What a stupid design.
So on the hunt for a good smokestone rear interior light unit now.....
Graeme

If you can find the broken bits you can successfully araldite them back using some waste plastic bits for structural support.

When my lights fell out, I used Sugru and moulded to shape to make new thicker hooks and left to set hard, been fine ever since.
