Default Car covers advise needed please.

Hiya all just wondering if anyone can help me regarding car covers.
Need too cover my project as doors bonnets boot glass etc will be removed and sent away at a later date.

Can't afford too have any water in it what so ever.

What's the best one you bought and how does it hold up all year round?
I'm only buying too cover her up briefly but since its hardy too have might as get a decent from the start.

Bought two of ebay years ago and tore pretty much straight away.
Don't want that too happen again.

Any advise will be greatly appreciated.

I'm currently using one of Lidl's full covers on a 75. Been on continuously for about 6 months now and it's staying together well.

The sun has faded it a little, but not really worried about that. I have put some large soft cloths over the bonnet, boot and roof before fitting the cover though, just to stop any chance of it marking if condensation gets under and metre wide bubble wrap (cable tied to door handles, etc) around the body perimeter to prevent any chaffing from wind.

But as covers go, it's pretty good, think it was under £15 ???

Would give it 9/10

Cool

Got a heavy duty one from Halfords. Under chassis straps holds it together. Has 4 adjustable air vents. It is fleece lined. Currently having to use it again as one of the fleet, ZTT, has to park under a tree. Ok but heavy to put on or take off if it’s windy.

Car covers are like cars Dave, buy the best you can afford, some of the cheaper ones can scratch the paint or let moisture get underneath, do you have room for a big gazebo? Sometimes it can be better if you can get your car under one of those.

Hi Dave
I have a Stormforce Monsoon cover for my Mini when it has to be kept outside. They’re very good quality, waterproof and, most importantly, breathable.
Not cheap but, quality things never are

Cheap covers just hold moisture inside and do your car no good at all.

If I’m using mine for any length of time, even though they’re breathable, I always remove and let some air around the Mini on fine days.

Here’s a link to a Probe cover https://www.stormcarcovers.co.uk/pro...or-ford-europe

I can endorse Banana's comments, As I have been using one of these for over a year with no prob's.
