First Rover in 1973, P6 2000 Arden Green UOY961F. Then a succession of P6 V8's ending with the one below (1965), sold in 1996. Big gap, then current 75.
Every one a delight.

Rover 216 Coupe
Rover 218 VVC coupe MG ZT 190 (Mk1) Now on my second ZT, a Mk2 190SE in Firefrost. Always liked the coupes, so with some money from a policy I had I bought a 216 ('96 R plate), the 218s were a bit out of my price range at the time as they were still pretty much new - think the 216 was about 3 year old when I bought it. Fancied a change a few years later and did look at a new MG ZR but in the end went for a 218 VVC ('99 T plate) - beautiful Amaranth with full leather. I fancied a ZT so that was the only reason I sold it, rare car then but even rarer now I think. |

Stuck with Ford thru 70's due to company car policy which changed in 1987 with Rover 800 as an option. Thoroughly enjoyed various 800 's then through to a 1998 model which I sold in 2012 and as my signature shows regret it to this day. A fabulous fastback in Charleston Green which is still around somewhere sorn'd.
Ran a R75 1999 2.0 V6 Club alongside last 800 before the current car which is best to date. If I had space I would love another 800 as a project, 820 Coupe would be nice. Only major problem was a new (1996) 800 KV6 which had a new engine under warranty at 55K due to head gaskets which failed again at 125K, a job I wouldn't want to do again! My wife has had first 216 honda type then 416 and today loves her Rover 25 1.6sxi with just 28k under its belt. Not sure where the road will end with Rover as much as I love my current car my heart says keep it but my head says get something higher off the ground that's easier to get in and out of as old age creeps up!

I'm 30 and I would say I only spring out of the 75 about 80% of the time. And that's with some determination to appear sprightly. Wife is a couple years older than me and quite frequently comments that she falls into the car |

Ditto . I had an 820i hatchback in BRG for 9 years . Looked great , drove beautifully , massive boot space and was so comfortable . Long distance drives no problem
