It's a shame we can't fit a MAGNAVOLT from Robocop 2 into out cars. No need to call the police and it doesn't drain your battery. lol

Most of us learn from an early age that taking something that doesn't belong to you is wrong. And to take what is presumably someone's pride and joy is even more of a disgrace.

Too late maybe for this one, but perhaps having a tracker device fitted might be of help? Found this on Halfords https://www.halfords.com/motoring/ca...er-629767.html

Just as an update: the car has now been found. Sadly, it was in a scrapyard having been crushed .

Lots of questions to answer:
  • How can they crush a car without appropriate paperwork?
  • How do they know it's actually the stolen car and not a "ringer"?

I'm thinking someone maybe stole the car, swapped the plates for a rough example, then had the rough one crushed. The VIN needs to be looked at, but presumably not possible if the car is now a cube .

What a tale of woe. I've heard of this before. Use your number to scrap a similar stolen car. You've got the engine number on the V5 which will help, of still there. If they're scumbags, they may have got rid of the evidence.

In another forum a car parked near a scrap yard, legally on the road, was lifted into the scrap yard and scrapped. The scum got caught as they left the engine and the numbers matched the V5.
