I am pretty sure a year 2000 diesel is not OBD compliant - but Diesel owners will no doubt advise. I think they became compliant from 2002 onwards.

The 2000 petrol engines are OBD compliant.

Not much better than Toaf: freeware, easy to use & transportable on any Windows laptop - https://toaf.roverki.eu/index.php/en/

You'll also need a VW KKL cable with pins 7 & 8 soldered together, or ready to use: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/174768878...cAAOSwvpNgnqIB

Regards

Please do not use Toaf unless you know exactly what you are doing, or you run the risk of ending up with a large brick on your drive.

What is it that your are trying to find out, better off getting in touch with one of the Testbook gurus.

Translation for the Italian lady.---Your car will end up like a brick you build a house with. Might never move again.---

I believe it's perfectly safe if you follow two basic rules:
1. Use only in read mode, don't attempt to write if you are unsure.
2. Back-up modules before making changes.

I just wish the T4 were as simple to use as Toaf, and had the ability to back-up modules (perhaps there is?). My T4 is now mobile but still requires 240v, Toaf only needs a simple laptop.

Regards
