Default Tortoise or Hare

When I bought my car in February 2004 it only had 8000 miles on it.
Now it's just about 100 miles short of 37000.
So I guess I must be the tortoise.
Never failed a test, never had a major breakdown and belts etc. changed twice.
Best car I have ever owned, wanted one since they came out but too expensive for me at the time.
It will certainly be the last car I own. ( unless someone gives me a Tesla

Many thanks for the offers of help, much appreciated. I have a Rover-trained ex-dealer mechanic in the village who has served me well for many years.
