Morning everyone.
The sun has made a guest appearance this morning. Not expecting any rain, but you never know it just might rain.

Day off for me today and tomorrow. I'm going to be mainly horizontal ......Didn't get back from crewing till 21.00hrs last night and then set about having some dinner and watching the Grand Prix I had recorded. Today I'll be watching the BTCC from yesterday . My calf muscles are aching from six hours of bracing myself standing up on a pitching and rolling boat I shall be taking a nice long soak in the bath as well

Morning all Overcast day here. Already been skip dipping this morning They're replacing the tiles of a neighbours house so I've been to get a dozen or so good tiles from the skip in case I need some to repair my roof That's the fourth house in the street that's had it's roof tiles replaced I haven't got the dosh to replace mine & the house insurance wont touch it because of the age so getting some 'aged' tiles that are the same as ours will suffice for when I get someone to replace the cracked ones on our roof.
Blimey! Jeff I was seasick just watching that boat rolling about

I don't like boats that aren't big enough to have an onboard restaurant.

My dislike of small boats stems back to when I lived in Berwick in the '70s, I was in the Air Cadets. A group of us were canoeing on the Tweed estuary at Spittal, another guy and me in a two man canoe, ancient fibreglass thing, two people could barely carry it. Coming into shore the bl00dy thing capsized, guy in the front got out but I must have been above a sand ridge or something as I was bent double wedged between the upturned canoe and the bottom. Because the canoe was so heavy I could barely move it, seemed to take ages to get out, put me off canoes and small boats for life.

I could never sit up on those kayaks without tipping over ,lousy sense of balance . We were holidaying near Loch Morlich in the Cairngorms in the early 1980's & hired a kayak, I returned it after half an hour because I couldn't stay upright for more than two minutes Beautiful place. https://www.lochmorlich.com/webcam

One of the many times I was in the Philippines there was a family trip (can't remember where) but we rocked up to the beach. I thought that was it but Papa had arranged a couple of local large fishing canoes to take us further on. Canoes were the kind of things you see in the far east with the bamboo outriggers and thumping great engine. Wasn't a particularly pleasant trip, the fishermen were chatting as we went along, probably saying "look at the white guy, he's crapping himself!".
